Muslim's rule in the Indian subcontinent has a golden history. Muslim rulers had done great work for India's development and progress, which is worthy of being written. Many Madrasas were established during the Mughal era, preaching Islamic teachings and protecting Islamic values. However, after 1857, when the Mughal rule declined, challenges arose for Muslims.
The Islamic faith was at stake; Masjids were turned into stables, Madrasas were destroyed, and copies of The Holy Qur'an were burnt. In response, Ulama recognized the need to establish Maktabs and Madrasas, ensuring the preservation of Islamic knowledge.
Madrasa Mambaul Uloom Madhopur, located in Chiraiya, East Champaran, Bihar, was established on 16 Shawwal, 1399 H (9 September 1979) under a thatched roof adjacent to the Jama Masjid of Madhopur. As the number of students increased, it was officially named "Madrasa Mambaul Uloom" in Shaban 1401 H, with support from sincere individuals.
Initially, 33 students were admitted with free food and accommodation. The first teacher, Hazrat Maulana Hafiz Abdul Wahid Sb Mazahiri Rah., and the founder, Hazrat Maulana Hafiz Mohammad Fasihuddin Sb Qasmi Rah., played a crucial role in the development of this Islamic institution.
In 1406 H (20 February 1986), during the first Jalsa-e-Aam (Annual Function), the foundation for Rawaq-e-Siddique was laid by Hazrat Bandwi Rah and Hazrat Maulana Mufti Manzoor Ahmad Sb Mazahiri Rah. The increasing student enrollment led to the establishment of Darul Iqama (residential facility) and a masjid for their convenience.
